Since I have A LOT of time on my hands now when I'm not looking for a side job or coming up with a plan to get my life together and be "ME", I have gotten into social media, lol. I realize that being queer and transgender is complex. So i decided to use different social media outlets for different purposes. My Facebook Page will not focus on my homeless struggles or social issues. I want to use it for a a place to track my transition process as I start naturally initially. As with all of this I also want to connect with my transgender brothers and sisters, so it will be a place to share and give and get friendly advice, tips, and such.
So I need a name for this page. Any Suggestions?
Hi Audrey, wish I was creative enough to suggest a name which wasn't a product of my cynical nature!
ReplyDeleteI sympathize with you on several issues. One hundred years ago in a land far far away, my "roomies" discovered my stash of women's clothes and threw them away or gave what they wanted to their girlfriends. I was devastated and ashamed for awhile but since I had a draft date in a month to spend time in Uncle Sam's Army...what the hell and they could go f---themselves.
Of course they thought I was gay and maybe wanted to f--- them too-but I wasn't then and am not now.
It was just another assumption I learned to live with over the years as my gender emerged but my sexuality stayed the same.
I'm terrible at advice too because I figure who cares what I say BUT it sounds like you are keeping your head in the game.
I have a dear friend who was nearly 80% transitioned who ended up living in a friends garage when she came out.
As much as it hurt her to do it she stopped her HRT, tied her hair back in a pony tail and got a job as a guy and then was promoted in a company whose medical just happened to pay for her to start HRT again.
Anything is possible Audrey!
